10 Songs You Didn't Know Were Sequels
9. The Prequel To Slim Shady's Domestic Murder - Kim
When Eminem burst onto the rap scene in the late 90's, many parents were taken aback by the sheer anger and off-color nature of his bars. While many fans loved the more disturbed imagery in Em's lyrics, "'97 Bonnie and Clyde" was a really shock, with lyrics detailing Em taking his daughter to the lake to throw his girlfriend's corpse in the river.
Just when it seemed like Slim Shady's tales couldn't get any more twisted, the next album featured "Kim," which became the epitome of a horror movie set to music. The entire song runs like the prequel to the events that unfolded on the previous album, with Slim going off on his girlfriend after putting his daughter to bed. The situation turns into a full blown shouting match before Slim grabs Kim and takes her on a car ride which leads to the woods.
With no one else around, the language becomes more and more graphic before Slim pulls out a knife and proceeds to stab his girlfriend to death. This is made all the more horrific by the background noises of Kim's struggles and eventual asphyxiation. The song then comes to a close with Slim bloodied and walking back to his car, leaving the listeners in absolute terror.
