10 Songs You Need To Add To Your Halloween 2020 Playlist

8. Burn the Witch - Radiohead

In the grand scheme of rock music, Radiohead have made an entire career playing off of the dark side of human emotions. Though the band have brought a sense of musical euphoria to plenty of fans around the world, there aren't too many their songs you could qualify as happy. It's one thing to portray sadness, but Burn the Witch is when the band started to take on much more disturbed subject matters.

As the stabbing strings from Jonny Greenwood start us off, you're already put on edge, but things get a lot more pointed once Thom Yorke starts to open his mouth. The song may be at a pretty standard tempo, but the way Yorke details a low-flying panic attack is enough to make any listener's heart rate accelerate a little bit.

By the time we reach the chorus and Yorke hits his trademark high notes, the song goes to another level of dread entirely. Forget the titular witch... Thom has basically turned into a disembodied ghost trying to lure anyone he can find into his clutches. You can definitely cry to a ton of Radiohead's material, but you might want to keep your guard up whenever this song creeps up on you.
