10 Surprising Details You Didn't Know About The Killers

4. 'Mr. Brightside' Has Charted In The Top 100 Since Its Release

Speaking of 'Mr. Brightside', it, much like the band itself, has shown over the years to be at the top of the music game.

As of writing this right now, in the period between July 3rd and July 9th, it is currently in the Top 100 chart making for its 233rd week total.

While this only accounts for the U.K. charts, that in no way makes it any less impressive. How many other songs have managed to do anything remotely like this? None actually, as 'Mr. Brightside' is the only song on the U.K. charts to break past 200 weeks.

The song first dropped in 2003 and is still, 17 years later, staying in the Top 100 with zero signs of stopping anytime soon. That's got to be some sort of record, which it is.

It'd be easy to say that The Killers peaked when thinking about this. But, when you make a song that good on an album as legendary as 'Hot Fuss' it's hard to follow that up. That's not to say at all that they have hit their musical mountain top. If anything, it could be possible that they're still climbing towards it.
