10 Surprisingly Heavy Songs By Non-Metal Bands
6. There’s A Price On Your Head – Enter Shikari
Enter Shikari are a bizarre band. Their debut album was a mad cocktail of metalcore, rock, dance, and electronica, and they’ve continued to experiment ever since with plenty of new sounds.
‘There’s A Price On Your Head’ is the most unsubtle and outright aggressive track Enter Shikari have ever put out. It’s a three-minute storm of sound, the bulk of which features Rou Reynolds losing his mind behind the microphone.
The track zips along at a thunderous pace and brings together all the heaviest aspects of Enter Shikari’s sound. There are rumbling basslines, distorted power chords, relentless drum patterns, and even some eerie electronics thrown in for good measure.
Whilst the final minute of the song lessens the intensity in favour of an exotic string section, for the most part, ‘There’s A Price On Your Head’ is a wild track that’s much heavier than Enter Shikari’s other material.
