10 Terrible Songs By Great Artists
7. Young and Menace - Fall Out Boy
Fall Out Boy's tenure ever since their resurgence in the early 2010s has been lukewarm for hardcore fans to say the least. As much as work like The Phoenix may have been fine for what it is, naming your albums stuff like Save Rock and Roll certainly didn't help your case in winning back the enthusiasts either. Then again, why save the time of pissing off parts of your fanbase when you can hit them all in one go?
During the early genesis for their much maligned album Mania, FOB offered up Young and Menace as the first single, which sent the world into a frenzy once they heard it. Even with their shift towards pop, who in their right mind was asking for the guys behind Sugar We're Goin' Down to make songs with chipmunk vocals as the main hook?
Granted, it's not like the band wasn't aware of what they did, going so far as to push the date of the album release further and only playing the first portion of the song live in concert ever since their first handful of shows. That's almost next level bad when you won't ever bring yourself to play the damn thing on tour. It's a simple as this: you messed up...we all see it...now just own it, you cowards.
