10 Terrible Songs That ALMOST RUINED Great Albums

4. Drunk and Hot Girls - Kanye West

For any Kanye West connoisseur, Graduation holds a bit of an interesting place in his discography. Despite beating out 50 Cent's Curtis in its opening week and being a brilliant delve into the world of pop rap, the more dated attempts at trendy production has done this album no favors at the end of the day. While Ye's attention to detail can withstand any production, it can't save a song like Drunk and Hot Girls.

Granted, this was certainly an interesting idea for a rap song at the time, being structured around a waltz beat and a unique sample from the art rock group Can. When you actually hear what Kanye is rapping though, it's clear that he wasn't really trying all that hard on this beat, as he just spits out his dissatisfaction with some of the more plastic female company he finds in the club. Even with a passable melody behind it, Ye yucks it up even more by not having enough lines to fill the verse, instead of resorting to off-kilter "la da da da das" in the middle of the track.

Considering the verbal beating that we get on this track, to have something as spellbinding as Flashing Lights come up just a few songs later just makes this song look gross in retrospect. No matter how many Kanye stans are out there, there's not too many people debating why this song sucks.
