10 Things You Didn't Know About The Beatles' Sgt Pepper Album
8. A Day In The Life: Dog Whistle?
Yes, you read that right, ladies and gentlemen. A dog whistle is present during the closing moments of A Day In The Life, Sgt. Pepper's final track.
It's quite easy to miss. It comes after that final note played at the end of the orchestra's crescendo. Listen to the song, then give about 15-20 seconds before a high-pitched frequency is heard.
Sure enough, both Lennon and McCartney allegedly put that sound in the song intentionally as a way to mess with their dogs. It may sound cruel to some, but is still quite funny when you think about it.
