While Grimmy has been made out on various occasions to be a bit of a wide-boy, the truth is quite the opposite. In an interview with the Evening Standard, he insisted he's not a habitual partier any more: he has been called the youth equivalent of Nicky Haslam for his alleged omnipresence on the London scene. Its just whenever I go out, I always get caught, he says. These days, I get anxious if I have two glasses of wine. I dont want to be known for going out and getting drunk rather than my radio show. I go to bed at 9.30pm on weeknights. On a similar theme with regards to last year's Radio 1 coverage of Ibiza, Grimmy admitted to being concerned that his alarm wouldn't go off the day afterwards, and that bosses would think him to still be there clubbing. It would seem that while this guy seems pretty chilled on the radio, he's actually a bit of an anxious individual when it comes to responsibility.
