10 Things You Should Be Listening To - End of the Road Special
1. Jonathan Wilsoncountry/folk/blues/psychedelic Do you like the setting sun on a desert horizon? Its a beautiful image, equal parts haunting and comforting. Simultaneously warm and cold. Its the kind of imagery that plays well staring at the sky and driving alongside, especially when enhanced by the perfect soundtrack. Completely cinematic. I dont think Ive ever heard a song that captures that as well as Desert Raven by Jonathan Wilson. The first song I heard by him after looking into acts playing at End of the Road, and I was instantly hooked. Dealing in a kind of psychedelic folk that doesnt mind tipping its hat to Neil Young, The Eagles, The Byrds and The Band, every song is a hazy and immersive experience packed with stunning harmonies. I pray the sky is kissing the horizon as the sky blushes pink and orange when his stage time comes around. http://youtu.be/-hYiY1vOOVw facebook website twitter
