10 Things You Should Know About The Guns N' Roses Reunion

1. New Music Isn't A Given

While fans may be clamouring for new material (outside of those who just want to hear the hits, anyway), new material is not a given. For one, Axl Rose is a perfectionist in the studio who works at a snail's pace, it seems, and hordes material. At least we think he does. A couple of leaks, and talk of several albums worth of material, leads credence to this theory. Rose also confirmed numerous song titles in an online chat with fans several years back, including names like Atlas Shrugged, Ides of March, The General, and the intriguingly titled Elvis Presley and the Monster of Soul (which sounds like it would make an awesome graphic novel and/or B-movie). Yet none of it, besides a couple of leaks including a pretty chill straight up rock n' roll track called Goin' Down, has been heard. Rumours of a follow-up to Chinese Democracy swirled over the years, but that was all. Think he'll be any quicker with Slash back in the fold? Think again. Inability to get on the same page over new material was just one of the numerous reasons the Illusions-era Guns N' Roses broke up in the first place. In short, take all "new song" rumours with a big ol' grain of salt. What do you think of the GnR reunion? Let us know in the comments if you're excited, skeptical, or both!
