9. Arcade Fire The Suburbs (2010)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RGsiF4pJTk Canadian indie/art rockers Arcade Fire's third full length arrived in the shape of 2010's 'The Suburbs', their longest LP to date. Well received by the bands expansive fanbase and critics alike, the album is based around the all-too-regular dream of fleeing the mundaneness of a suburban childhood and setting of in order to find something bigger and better. The topic is supposedly semi-biographical in influence; tracking the move of frontman Win Butler and brother/bandmate Will from humble Texan beginnings to the big city lights of Montreal, Canada. Ranking in at number one in Belgium, Ireland, Norway, UK, US and of course their native Canadia, The Suburbs is still widely considered Arcade Fires most focal work to date. I guess we'll just have to give their new one a little time to make its mark.
