10 Times Fans Saved Imperfect Albums
7. Notes On A Conditional Form - The 1975
It feels incredibly strange to call an album that came out this year to already be imperfect. Right from the getgo, the 1975's Notes on a Conditional Form was marred by controversy, with a slew of different genres at play and an ungodly long track listing. There's a lot to sift through here, but the real 1975 fans had our best interests in mind.
Instead of slogging through all 80 minutes of this thing, fans have taken to Spotify and the like and to condense the tracks into something a lot more streamlined. Though the original record got bogged down with way too many interludes, a lot of the proper songs have been some of the best music we've gotten from this band since their formation.
Now that fans have taken to streaming services, the playlists have cut out many of the lesser tracks in favor of the more heartfelt moments.
It may seem a little early to be picking apart an album like this, but the more this album ages, you'll be coming back to songs like "Guys" and "People" rather than sitting through something like "Streaming."
The 1975 still have a long road ahead of them, but when compared to their other releases, this one made the most sense to go under the knife.
