10 Times Rock Musicians Stopped Their Own Shows

6. Roger Daltrey Breaks A Record

In their 60s heyday, The Who were among the most rambunctious rock bands in the world, known for causing complete mayhem when in the middle of a set.

This is the band that literally blew up a drumkit on live TV. They were a different breed.

However, by the time 2007 rolled around, the guys in the band were, shall we say, of a more mature vintage. This was on full display during a concert in Tampa, Florida - well, "concert" might be a strong word.

Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend took to the stage and began performing the song I Can't Explain, when Daltrey stopped the song shortly after the intro. He announced to the crowd that he was too sick to sing, and the gig was promptly cancelled.

Imagine waiting all that time to see such a legendary band, only for the night to end after only a few bars.

The gig was later reorganised and those in attendance actually ended up being involved in music history. At just 13 seconds long, The Who put on the Shortest Music Concert ever, as officially recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records.
