8. McAuley Schenker Group - Perfect Timing

A bit more of a left-field choice on this list, Perfect Timing was the first collaboration between German guitarist Michael Schenker (of UFO, Scorpions and MSG fame) and Irish singer Robin McAuley. The pair made for a brilliant team, producing some of Schenker's finest music of the 80s.

The music feels more passionate than earlier MSG albums - mainly down to McAuley, who to this day continues to display an incredible vocal range and it's really brought to the forefront of this album. Songs like 'Follow The Night' and 'Time' really sees him hit the high notes, bridged by some fast and inventive riffs by Schenker. The opener, 'Gimme Your Love', was also Schenker's first top 100 US hit, and the album paved way for the pair to continue producing music together for years to come.
