10 Underrated Hard Rock Albums Of The 1980s
7. Guns N' Roses - Lies

After the success of 'Appetite for Destruction', Guns N' Roses were considered one of the greatest hard rock bands of the time. Their debut album is now considered one of the best-selling in the world, so it's no surprise really their follow-up doesn't quite get the same level of fanfare.
Released in 1988, Lies was a combination of a previously released EP by the band, along with four new acoustic tracks. It makes for quite a varied product as a result - there doesn't seem to be much of a cohesive link between the two halves of the album, which makes it almost bizarre - but it's still a great listen.
'Patience' is an incredible ballad by the band, while 'Used To Love Her' in particular is a quirky, upbeat deliberate joke of a song that's one of the most catchy the band has to offer.
