10 Underrated Hard Rock Albums Of The 1990s

4. Keep The Faith - Bon Jovi

By the early 90s, it seemed like the glam metal days of Bon Jovi were gone (many of its members opted for shorter haircuts for starters) and they seemed to be going for a more mature sound. Many fans were starting to feel like the band had had it's day.

Bon Jovi proved them wrong with the release of Keep The Faith - a strong album that blended elements of country with classic hard rock. While different from what had come before, many of the tracks are now considered Bon Jovi classics. The title song is a real anthem, while ballads such as 'Bed Of Roses' and 'In These Arms' are extremely passionate efforts.

They also experimented with more epic songs. 'Dry County' is well over nine minutes long with several rises and long instrumentals, and there's a real gritty feel to the track as it explores the decline of the US domestic oil industry.
