10 Underrated Linkin Park Songs
8. All For Nothing - The Hunting Party
It's hard to think of a band like Linkin Park working well with collaborators at all. Although their projects with Jay Z and Steve Aoki have made for some great stuff, every member of the band is so integral to the sound that it's hard to think of a song without any one of them. As they grew older though, these guys did learn how to play nice with other rockers on the Hunting Party.
Across all of the collaborations with the likes of Rakim and Daron Malakian on this record, the most impactful song had to be All For Nothing, featuring Page Hamilton from Helmet on vocals. While not necessarily as clean as Chester would be in his normal register, Page's rhythm guitar and vocals feel at home right next to Brad Delson, sounding like a more aggro version of traditional alternative rock.
Not having to worry about cleanliness, Chester also gets the opportunity to go for his full throaty scream, which hasn't shown any signs of cracking up on this song. If anything, this song feels more like a celebration of everything that made Linkin Park so endearing back in the days of Hybrid Theory. Equipped with one of the men who inspired them in the first place, this is the exact kind of tribute that benefits everyone involved.
