8. Mindless Self Indulgence Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy
Mindless Self Indulgence are an American electronic rock band that formed in 1997 and are frequently and consistently weird. The band once defined their genre as electro-punk jungle pussy and industrial jungle pussy punk, so that gives you an idea with regards to where they're at. With those genres in mind, the album title Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy may not seem all that odd, but it's a title that is bizarrely fitting. For all their rampant weirdness, the band are talented musicians with some great songs and put on a pretty amazing live performance. The reference to Frankenstein Girls seeming Strangely Sexy is in fitting with the band's alternative aesthetic and frequent sexual lyrics, as well as their common incorporations of twisted yet alluring imagery. One of Mindless Self Indulgence's greatest strengths is in making the vulgar seem very attractive. Hence Frankenstein Girls (weird) Will Seem Strangely Sexy (alluring).
