10 Worst Debut Albums By Amazing Rock Artists

8. Jimmy Eat World - Jimmy Eat World

Before they were Bleeding American, Jimmy Eat World were a pretty conventional punk band who put out their debut release in 1994.

Self-titled, this record was never earmarked for success as only 2,000 copies of it were produced for sale. It's pretty hard to track down these days, as it's been out of print for some time. Also, it doesn't help that the band never go out of their way to bring it up.

According to setlist.fm, they've played a cover of Taylor Swift's We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together in concert more times than anything from this record.

It's not shocking that the group themselves aren't keen to revisit their past, as this album really doesn't have much to offer. The songs are fine, but there's very little to distinguish one from the other.

The band are trying to fit into a punk mould that they're just not suited to, as shown when they found massive success with more poppy tunes. If you do like this album, you'll sadly find it very hard to actually listen to it. If you like Jimmy Eat World covering Taylor Swift though, you're in luck.
