10 Worst Hard Rock Albums Ever Made

9. One More Light - Linkin Park

At the dawn of the nu metal age in 2000, Linkin Park ended up being one of the genre's saving graces. For as much as they fit in with the Limp Bizkits of the world, the band had the chops to back it up and were even able to move past the genre altogether on albums like A Thousand Suns. The band clearly had the talent to flirt with other genres, but who was necessarily asking for One More Light?

In what can only be described as the biggest fumble in recent memory, every song throughout this album feels like the sad state of a band looking to cash in on pop trends rather than pave their own artistic direction. While the songs are played competently and are produced perfectly, it's far too clean when put against the band's previous work.

If the album affair wasn't bad enough, the entire Linkin Park family was shaken a few months after the album's release with the suicide of lead singer Chester Bennington. Even when the music ended up being dreadful, the fact that these songs sound like a man crying out for help just make it look gut-wrenching for fans in retrospect.

Though the album was a bit of a dud, no one was expecting this light to be burned out this quickly.
