10 Worst Hard Rock Albums Ever Made
2. Results May Vary - Limp Bizkit
Most metalheads who grew up in the early '00s wish they could forget the sounds of nu metal. For all the great bands like Deftones and Korn who were coming out with great music, the sound of white guys whining about their problems went way out of style once the new millennium kicked in. Well...it looks like Fred Durst didn't really get the memo that he was no longer of use though.
While the allure of Limp Bizkit was at least understandable in the late '90s, the fact that the band tried to carry on with Results May Vary in 2003 made it just look like the final gasp of the nu metal scene. With guitarist extraordinaire Wes Borland out of the picture, this all Durst affair shows him at his most antagonistic.
From the creepy stalker vibes of "Eat You Alive" to the butchering of the Who on "Behind Blue Eyes," every one of these songs paint Durst like a child in the body of an adult, who's only concerned for his problems and no one else's.
Though all of that can be forgiven as long as the music is good, the wretched delivery of Durst actively negates any good idea that the instrumentation was building towards. Limp Bizkit was always known as a below average band, but I don't think anyone was ready for the weaponized trash present on this album.
