1. Eden xo - "The Weekend"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2znDb8Y1dg I actually have a newfound respect for that "I really really really really really love you" song by Carly Rae Jepsen. Compared to this, Jepsen is Robert Frost. This song is somehow less descriptive--and subsequently more annoying--than Rebecca Black's "Friday." Did you think that was possible? I always believed it was, but in the same way I believe in eating vegetables with my steak and limiting the number of hours I spend watching Netflix: I have to, because otherwise that heart disease will sneak right up on me. Well guess what, "The Weekend" didn't sneak up on me...and it didn't matter. I saw this whole thing coming and the daft frivolity of it all still got me right under the chin. "Oh my god, it's the weekend," they sing. "Oh my god, I know," I reply. "I heard about it from the grown woman who's apparently obsessed with ice cream trucks and being a Disney princess. And now I'm dead inside." This is our new low. This is what we are now, society. Are you happy?
