10 Worst Songs From 2015

6. iLoveMemphis - "Hit The Quan"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrCUEjSzLAk Look, there's a time and a place for novelty dance songs. That time was 1983 and that place is wherever Men Without Hats recorded "The Safety Dance." Everyone else needs to just stop all this nonsense already. I was perfectly willing to tolerate that goddamn "watch me whip and nae nae" song for a couple of months because it was cute to watch toddlers dance to it on the Ellen show, but there's no excuse for having two of these come out within one month of each other! The 22-year-old rapper openly admitted that he got "inspiration" from the video for Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan's "Flex (Ooh Ooh Ooh)," of course, inspiration in this context means stealing a whole set of dance moves and then writing an instructional song about it to make the related video go viral. So if I was Quan, I'd be looking for my slice of this (admittedly terrible tasting) pie. Speaking of which, iLoveMemphis alleges to have only spent $35 making the song, which is roughly $20 too much considering the result.
