10 Worst Songs On Classic Albums

7. Digsy's Dinner - Oasis

There aren't that many acts who are able to hit a home run right out of the gate. More often than not, a first record is where the artists in question first get their bearings about themselves before improving later down the line. However, if you want to know how to make a good first impression, Definitely Maybe by Oasis is pretty much the benchmark.

Amid the sea of alternative rock, this return to traditional rock and roll from the Gallagher Brothers was exactly what the world needed at the midpoint of the '90s. On the other hand, there's a bit of a foul ball right in the middle of things with Digsy's Dinner. Compared to the other invigorating tracks on this record, this 2 minute jaunt is basically just a bit of '60s pop reminiscent of the Beatles or the flowery side of the Kinks. While this works on songs like She's Electric, it's almost too cheesy for its own good here, down to the random piano solo in the middle.

On any other album, this would be forgivable, and yet it looks absolutely dreadful when sandwiched between the glam rock pastiche Cigarettes and Alcohol and Slide Away on the back half. Though there's certainly a charm to the tune, there's a good reason why this quickly left Oasis' setlist shortly after their first few tours.
