Safari Gold
indie/electro/rock There was once a promising Welsh indie band called
Cuba Cuba. They dealt in a twinkly and layered kind of pop; a little intricate, a little atmospheric and the right side of catchy. They had built momentum with an EP, an album and festival slots including the
BBC Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds. However, nothing last forever. Though, some things carry on regardless. Formed out of the sudden combustion of
Cuba Cuba, we now have
Safari Gold. Featuring essentially
Cuba Cuba minus one,
Safari Gold is a kind of phoenix from the ashes sort of affair or just a change of direction and name depending on whether your prefer the hyperbolic bullshit of the former description. Sporting a more developed and mature sound this time around, what little there is to be heard of
Safari Gold at the moment has great promise whether its a delicate and tender touch, expansive synth drama or sultry electro pop. Your best bet is to check the SoundCloud or website for the time being as this video is just a teaser. http://youtu.be/mVLvjO4AW1o
