12 Best Female Rock Singers Of All Time
11. Lzzy Hale - Halestorm
Of all the bands coming out of the hard rock scene in recent years, there has been a trend of a strong female presence out in the front. From more rock and roll singers like Taylor Momsen to the more technical side of Lacey Sturm of Flyleaf, the future of rock seems to be leaning towards a more gender-balanced ensemble of musicians. Even with those great talents, the real leader of the charge has got to be Lzzy Hale of Halestorm.
Coming from Pennsylvania, Hale got the ball rolling from a young age, strapping on a guitar at her house with her brother Arejay. As opposed to looking up to people like Madonna and Whitney Houston, Hale's taste in music always catered to the likes of Joan Jett and Black Sabbath. Once you put on a Halestorm record, you get a real taste as to what she can do, with her powerful belt being able to go toe to toe with any male heavyhitter from David Lee Roth to Corey Taylor.
With the band's new album Vicious being their heaviest yet, there seems to be no slowing down Lzzy when it comes to pumping out some of the best rock music around today.
