12 Best Hamilton Songs

7. The Schuyler Sisters

Angelica! Eliza! AND PEGGY! For that line alone, The Schuyler Sisters has to make this list.

While its only real purpose is to introduce the female leads, it's an extremely catchy and funny song, full of some of the best and most quotable lines in the entire musical. Whether its Aaron Burr's flirting with Angelica:

"Excuse me, miss, I know it's not funny, but your perfume smells like your daddy's got money"

Or Angelica's declaration:

"And when I meet Thomas Jefferson, I'm 'a compel him to include women in the sequel! Work!"

Described as some by as a Destiny's Child-esque song, it's a firm fan-favourite and a great showcase for the female performers.

Miranda revealed that they completely reworked The Schuyler Sisters because of how amazing Renee Elise Goldsberry's, Phillipa Soo's and Jasmine Cephas Jones' vocals were, with the three of them improvising a lot of their harmonies.

It's just a brilliantly fun song to listen to and it does a great job at introducing the sisters and their individual personalities.

Even Peggy. Poor Peggy.
