12 Best Hard Rock Deep Cuts

7. Nobody's Fault - Aerosmith

Aerosmith's rap sheet in their prime was mostly known for taking the British Invasion sound and blowing it up to gargantuan proportions. It was always hard rock, but it was hard to call any of it particularly heavy when put against something like Led Zeppelin or Black Sabbath. When the band found their swagger on Rocks, the game changed when you flipped the record over.

As "Nobody's Fault" fades in with guitar volume swells, the song turns into an outright scorcher with some of the tastiest blues riffs that Joe Perry has ever performed. Supposedly written about the devastation brought on by earthquakes, Steven Tyler's vocals sound like screams of terror as he plows his way through the verses.

While never being a particular staple in the band's repertoire, the song has built up quite an audience thanks to the praise of fellow rockers. Harder rock musicians like Slash have singled the song out as a favorite while metal bands like Testament have even recorded cover versions of the tune. This track might not be exactly metal, but Aerosmith's foray into darker territory made for some of the heaviest riffing that they have ever committed to tape.
