12 Greatest Nu-Metal Bands Of All Time

8. Evanescence

Evanescence exploded into the mainstream in 2003 with the release of their debut album ‘Fallen’.

The lead single from the album, ‘Bring Me To Life’, catapulted the band into the public eye with a fresh take on the Nu Metal genre, mixing metal music and rap with their gothic style. Their debut single topped the charts all over the world, including the U.K., and was followed up by other successful singles from the album including ‘Going Under’ and ‘My Immortal’.

Following the success of ‘Fallen’, one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century, Evanescence have continued to remain relevant in the rock scene and are set to release their fifth studio album, ‘The Bitter Truth’, later this year.

The first single from the new album, ‘Wasted On You’, was released last month and was accompanied by a video made up of footage of the band at their homes during the ongoing global pandemic.
