3. The Return Of Foo Fighters
Foo Fighters have been the safe bet for most rockers for the past few years. Regardless of whether you're a superfan or not, the Foos have been able to pump out the kind of high-energy rock music that fans love to bang their heads to in stadiums around the world. Though the band just gave us a record with 2017's Concrete and Gold, Grohl had been planning something even bigger for the band's 25th anniversary.
In the past few months, the Foos have been a bit cryptic and have released surprise EPs of odds and ends, one of which includes an actual studio version of the live acoustic cut "Skin and Bones." While these are fun little releases for the diehards to enjoy, this is a good sign that the band are in the studio cutting some new tracks.
When talking about their next move, Grohl has stated that this next record is one that is going to be something that will connect with fans in a more organic way than just a typical rock show. In terms of the songwriting, Grohl has also said that this next offering features a song idea that has been in the works since the band's inception. Whenever the record finally comes out, it's sure to have a good balance of the new bombastic Foos and the lean rocking material they were so good at in their early days.
