12 Most Hated Rock Albums Of All Time

8. Cut The Crap - The Clash

During the 70's punk explosion, no other band epitomized the power of rock and roll more than the Clash. From their scorching debut to the magnum opus London Calling, the band created some of the greatest anthems for the rock and roll underdog while also making bold stances on the political practices of the time.

What made this band so amazing was the fantastic interplay between dual frontmen Joe Strummer and Mick Jones, who brought just the right balance of punk edge and pop tunefulness to capture the listeners' attention. Once one of them left, that was supposed to be the end of the band right? Well...Strummer had other plans.

Shortly after Jones departed in the early 80's, Strummer replaced almost everyone with the exception of bassist Paul Simonon and presented Cut the Crap, which shows the band as a shadow of their former selves. You could normally feel the blood sweat and tears on a Clash release, but the lack of hooks and cheap gimmicks like drum machines led to them sounding like a second-rate garage band. Though there has been love for the song "This Is England" over the years, this ended up being a depressing epitaph for the Only Band That Matters.
