12 Perfect Classic Rock Albums With NO Bad Songs

5. The Wall - Pink Floyd

Pretty much half of the Pink Floyd discography could be put into a list like this. While not every single album has the most extensive track listing or anything, they always make for an amazing whole that aims to make you think as much as it tries to entertain you. After the emotional powerhouses like Wish You Were Here and Animals though, it felt like we still weren't prepared for something like the Wall.

As the concepts kept getting more and more grand in scope, this was the first time where Roger Waters stepped into the world of theater, operating as almost an autobiography of what he was going through in the public eye. At the top of their game, Floyd created a lush array of sounds on the Wall that never feel out of style, even when they were cribbing from modern ideas like disco on Another Brick in the Wall.

Compared to some of the more whacky stuff that you would find on other prog rock albums of the day, these are the raw fundamentals that comes with pretty much any rock album. When you have a concept that is this airtight though, you don't need to worry about whether you have trendy effects or anything. The masses will come to you by then.
