12 PERFECT Metal Albums With NO Bad Songs

4. Screaming for Vengeance - Judas Priest

Judas Priest is the one metal band who almost deserve more than their countless accolades.

While other bands like Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin may have been setting the standard of heavy rock at the time, Priest were the first band to take the genre label and run with it across albums like Hell Bent for Leather and Sad Wings of Destiny. The band may have already had a classic under their belt with British Steel, but Screaming for Vengeance may have been able to top it.

Reinventing themselves from the ground up, this record launched the band into the '80s ready to kill, with songs that gave the new generation of metalheads a run for their money. There's not a single dud in sight throughout the track listing, with "The Hellion" preparing you for sonic mayhem before throwing you into the cold mechanics of "Electric Eye" and not slowing down for a minute after that.

No matter what kind of metal you seek, this has you covered, from the power metal stylings of "Riding on the Wind" to the midtempo heaviness of "Bloodstone" to the singalong chorus of "You've Got Another Thing Comin."

Judas Priest may have already received their just praise, but this album reminded the entire metal world that these guys were famous for a damn good reason. For any of the metal faithful, this right here is one of the initial sacraments.
