12 Problems Only My Chemical Romance Fans Will Understand
10. Gerard's Complicated Relationship With Danger Days
According to Gerard, Danger Days was never part of the script.
Following the incredible critical and commercial success of the band's third album The Black Parade (to date the record has sold over 3 million albums worldwide) Way and his fellow band members felt they had achieved and surpassed their wildest dreams. I'm really proud of Danger Days and I'm glad it happened Way said during an interview with Andy Greenwald. MCR was this thing that was intense and about mental health and about treating people equal, but it was really dark to get to the bright it was always really dark and I don't know that it sustained turning the colour up. Hearing Way express uncertainty about the band's final album is strange. It's even stranger when the record was largely regarded by critics and fans to be brilliant.
