Whether or not this video is actually controversial has been the subject of think-pieces for several weeks now since its release. Effectively, Rihanna and her friends spend the entire video torturing a woman that is married to Rihanna's cheating accountant. It pulls no punches in terms of its graphic content, with full-frontal nudity, toe-curling depictions of violence and buckets of blood appearing throughout the video. It concludes with Rihanna, having murdered her accountant, lying naked coated in his blood in a box filled with her money It is genuinely a great watch, and a fitting accompaniment to one of the pop tracks of the year to date.
