12 Things You Should Be Listening To - Welsh Music Prize Special

Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog

Draw Dros Y Mynydd Now this might be a challenge for most, but bear with me and Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog. In spite of the fact music€™s organs are melody, harmony and rhythm generally language creates a barrier. CRB are a Welsh language band, which means their songs don€™t often (if ever) cross the border. However, in this bands case this shouldn€™t make any sort of difference, dealing in as they do with an immersive country/alt folk style. A band of brothers from North-West Wales, they€™ve received some considerable recognition on the Welsh language music scene and even through BBC Wales. Though language aside they could be so easily accepted elsewhere. If the world can accept a German speaking Industrial band (Rammsteinn), then why not a Welsh speaking country band? http://youtu.be/CrVhI0U2Ooc website soundcloud twitter facebook
