12 Unbelievably Underrated Beatles Tracks
9. Don't Pass Me By (The Beatles "The White Album")
Poor Ringo. Not only he is an underrated drummer but he is also a very underrated Beatle.
It is true that Ringo's compositions were not on the same scale as his bandmates but as an individual Ringo is really worth listening to. This can be seen most clearly with the song "Don't Pass Me By" a country-soft rock arrangement that showed the world just how good a songwriter Ringo could be.
And it's not just the writing. The song also features Ringo on vocals which for Beatles fans is a rare treat. In fact, some might say that Ringo had the best voice in the band with his sumptuous sleepy Liverpudlian tones simply made for the microphone. Plus, this was Ringo's first-ever composition or at least the first song that he managed to get down on paper.
Sadly, it took a while for the song to be recorded and put on an actual album. This was mostly down to Lennon and McCartney's refusal to make room for other material, especially now that George Harrison had started making credible and often better music.
