2. Live Sh*t: Binge & Purge - San Diego Sports Arena, 1992
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPBpViA_L2g#t=54 If youre a Metallica fan and you only own one live recording, theres a good chance you chose Live Sh*t, the slick 1993 set combining audio recordings and live concert recordings from two performances on two different tours. The box set focused on material recorded between '92 and '93, after the mega-success of The Black Album when the band had hit their stride and were the biggest swinging dicks in the music business. And it shows in their swagger: they know they were number one, and as such the historical importance of the San Diego performance cannot be denied. It might cause some ruffled feathers, but the five song medley from And Justice For All is a particular high point and a wonderfully executed 10 minute long sequence.
