indie/math pop/emo ...or This Town Needs Guns, as they were formally known, have been around for a little while now, having formed back in 2004 and after a number of line up changes have settled into what many call a power trio. Having released their sophomore effort this year after a four year gap since their debut, the band are currently on a bit of streak of revitalisation. A band known for an evolving sound, as with their line up they have for the moment settled into a sound. A sound that lies somewhere between your more traditional emo, a very modern and progressive sounding indie and math rock. The end result boasts intricate guitar lines, complex and changing rhythms, a bass that switches between sparse, melodic, groove orientated and subtly funky, and emotional and naturally high toned vocals. http://youtu.be/PyoxtZ_dahY
