13 Worst Cover Songs Of All Time

6. Hilary Duff - My Generation

Hilary Duff and rock and roll is a combination that goes together like ice cream and turd.

In an attempt to step away from her Disney ‘Lizzie McGuire’ image, Duff began recording more rock style songs and changed her look to resemble the likes of Avril Lavigne.

However, her rendition of ‘My Generation’ did anything but endear her to a rock audience.

It was unlikely to ever go down well, but the amateur production and painfully bad vocals made the track sound like it had been made in ‘GarageBand’ by an angsty teenage girl trying to get back at her parents.

It resulted in a downright offensive cover of The Who’s classic anthem and did no favours for Duff in her attempt to relaunch her music career.
