Take That covered Nirvana, need I say more?
What makes it even worse is that this came at the peak of Take That’s cheesy boy band era in 1995. They were the exact antithesis of everything that Nirvana stood for.
The cover came at a live show, presumably so Take That could show an edgy side to their act and try not to be pigeonholed as a pop act. It didn’t work.
The performance was uploaded to the band’s YouTube channel in 2016, which must mean that someone from their team unearthed the footage and thought it was a good idea to release it to the public.
The cringe-worthy performance sees Jason Orange and Mark Owen pick up guitars and try to look cool while Gary Barlow takes his top off and runs around the stage like a boy at a wedding who has had one too many sugary drinks.
