The perfect Friday night band. FIDLAR are loud, young, aggressive and full of energy. Their music is pure depravity, with heavy guitar riffs and crashing drums accompanied by distortion and shouting from lead singer Zak Carper. They are the closest we've seen in the 21st century to a true punk band. In ten or so years time they will be ranked alongside the greats such as "The Sex Pistols" or "The Damned" as perfect examples of what happens when friends with an interest in music and a lack of responsibility get together to attack the popular market and end up making something legendary in the process. The band have become a sensation within the teenage community, with their anti-establishment and non-conforming style appealing to everyone that feels mildly sick as soon as any pop artist's name is mentioned. Having already supported alternative rock heroes "The Pixies" within last year, after the release of their widely anticipated and adored self-titled debut, their fandom is sure to only grow within the upcoming year. The band have also experienced publicity within last years incredibly successful "Grand Theft Auto V" where their song "Cocaine" could be heard on in-game radio stations. This year may not see a new release scheduled yet from the band, however further touring is a certainty. This is definitely an acceptable substitute however, as FIDLAR's previous touring with accomplice American punk band "The Orwells" has become an essential show to see within the states. Hopefully this year will see a fully-fledged UK tour from the band alongside the inevitable festival slots as they edge closer towards the recognition they deserve.
