6. Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix - 2009
You'll struggle to find a better synthpop band than Phoenix. Hailing from Paris, the band broke into the mainstream with their 4th studio album, and rightly so. 'Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix' is a perfect pop record, and is an excellent record to relax too. With classics such as 'Lisztomania', '1901' and 'Girlfriend', as well as the brilliant instrumentals of 'Love Like A Sunset', this album will take away any dark thoughts or stress you may have. It's unashamedly fun, fantastically exciting, but at the same time, utterly genius in composition. Track after track after track of excellence, in an album even your mother couldn't dislike.
