7. Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes - 2008
I will be the first to admit, I'm not a folk music fan. But Fleet Foxes debut album is more than just folk music. It rattles along with charming guitar, organ and percussion. Robin Pecknold's vocals and flawless, and the band's harmonies work excellently, creating an ethereal feel to their songs. Lyrically, the album is one with nature, yet also gives the feel of a fairy tale, with often quite fantastical terms being used. 'Fleet Foxes' is an album that should be played loud, and is an album to totally immerse yourself in. It's not an album you can listen to while doing other things either, it's an album that deserves your complete and devoted attention.
