15 Awesome Albums To Put Down Cynics Of 21st Century Music

15. Queens Of The Stone Age - Rated R - 2000

'C-c-c-c-c-cocaine!' Queens of the Stone Age front man Josh Homme yells on the band's second studio album, which combines 'stoner rock' riffs with Homme's trademark vocals. The band's huge range of subject matter and instrumentation is key in making, not only 'Rated R' arguably the band's best work, but also a stand out album from the Noughties. Garnering universal praise from critics, and sending the band into the ears of mainstream audiences, it's really hard to fault this album; from the chugging bass on 'The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret' to the moving 'In the Fade' and the classic 'Feel Good Hit of the Summer', Rated R is an album not just for heavy rock lovers, but for music lovers of all kinds.
