9. Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not - 2006
Now one of the most established modern British bands, Arctic Monkeys started off with demos being circulated around the internet. With the hype building up around the band more and more, it was possible they could have crash and burned. But instead they delivered one of the most relevant albums of the decade. Anyone who's ever been on a night out will be able to relate to Alex Turner's funny, witty lyrics, and their nifty guitar work is enough to convert even the most diehard classic rock fans. The use of their local accents is also an excellent addition to an already brilliant album. The Arctic's just have that ability to produce music that's so easy to enjoy, a must for anyone adventuring into 21st century rock.
