Forming in 1992, the faces of Viking metal have been together much longer than most fan realise.
Technically considered a melodic death metal band, the Swedish group have been recording and touring for the best part of 30 year. In recent years, they have jumped in fame across Europe and beyond thanks to their stunning stage shows and incredible performances.
Throughout their careers Amon Amarth have made 11 studio, with their debut coming as late as 1998. With strong Nordic inspiration in all of their songs and records, it's easy to see why they gradually defined and now dominate their sub-genre. Many fans saw this as one of the bands best records to date alongside 2016's 'Jomsviking' and 2008's 'Twilight of the Thunder God'.
