15 Best Guitar Solos Of The Decade (So Far)

15. Slash - Stone Blind (2:26)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6BAzGf0s_8 Kicking off with a veteran who's rarely known for playing fast - instead Slash's M.O. has forever been based in the blues, letting solos like November Rain's, Estranged and obviously Sweet Child O' Mine reach the epic heights others would do through sheer freneticism alone. For his latest album World on Fire - and second with Alter Bridge's messianic frontman Myles Kennedy and band The Conspirators - you can tell he's more than in his comfort zone, for the better. Riffs like Wicked Stone are quintessentially chunky GnR, but it's the solo to Stone Blind that just builds and builds to the point where if you ever see him play it live, the finger-dance his left hand does is a show in itself.
