Probably the closest thing to a song/track hybrid, this is easily one of Infected Mushroom’s best creations. With its catchy tempo, guitar riffs, and heavy synthesis, 'Saeed' gets more powerful towards the end, as IM add more and more layers to an already heavy song. The bridge at the end and psychedelic leads throughout the song make for especially great listening, as the heavy synth sounds and classical piano contrast each other and go well together so perfectly.

Finally, the lyrics really make this song work, even though they’re a tad repetitive. That said, this is one of the rare instances where listeners get to understand the theme behind IM’s music without having to guess what it is by listening exclusively to instrumentals. In an ironic twist, though the song it titled Saeed (Arabic for ‘happy’) the lyrics would suggest otherwise, with lyrics that point to some kind of serious deception and a ‘chain of lies’.

That said, Saeed does end on a somewhat happy note, with an awesome, high-energy keyboard lead. So it should come as no surprise that the group uses this song as the opener to many of their live shows.
