15 Facts You Didn't Know About Blink-182
10. All Members Are Business-Savvy Clothing Label Creators
All three of the original trio have created iconic clothing brands over the years.
Although they've sold their shares now, DeLonge and Hoppus created Atticus Clothing with a logo that would be seen on shirts everywhere in the early 2000s.
The upside down bird became a symbol for the brand's style for coolness without flash, and the blink-182 musicians turned Atticus into a clothing company that began to give back to other bands.
They created compilation CDs, helped bands tour and were a strong force in punk. Due to the success of Atticus, DeLonge and Hoppus expanded to the shoe market and founded Macbeth (guess they were going for a literary theme). The brand was another hit amongst punk crowds, but ultimately the musicians sold their shares in the companies a few years after they were founded.
Travis Barker, however, is still very much involved with his clothing brand, Famous Stars and Straps.
21 years after its formation, the punk/hip-hop crossover brand is still ever-present in the music scene, and making killer clothing. FSAS has been worn by the best, whether that be Eminem, Tim Armstrong, Kim Kardashian or Lady Sovereign.
